In two days I'll be thirty-five years old. I've never been one to lavishly celebrate my own birthday. Milestone birthdays included. I don't ask for gifts, nor do I expect them from anyone. The greatest and most cherished gifts I've ever been given are my family and friends; the standing pillars who will forever be present, in one way or another, who have stood by my side through the best/worst times. I can't ask for anything more. I can only hope that I can give back as much love as I've been given. If I were to 'indulge' on my thirty-fifth birthday, my idea would be to see 'Onwards' reach $100.00 raised. With this post, I've attached a donation of $15.00 to CMHA, which brings the current total to $85.18. Thank you to everyone who has purchased 'Onwards' so far. I'm not asking, and it's definitely not expected, but if someone is feeling more than generous, another $15.00 would be the icing on the cake. If it doesn't happen, my birthday will still be filled with all the wonderful gifts that I'll be forever grateful for. AW
'Onwards' has now raised a total of $70.18 for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
The words 'thank you' have never been so insufficient in their ability to convey the level of gratitude that I feel.
